Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft AI

Maxim Plyassunov

I build large-scale distributed systems and AI-assisted development workflows.

My background is in ad tech and distributed systems: real-time auctions, high-throughput data pipelines, feature flags, observability, ML-backed decisioning, and reliability work for revenue-critical platforms, where every rollout, model signal, and operational decision has to survive 10M+ QPS scale.

My current focus is agentic AI development - not as a buzzword, but as an engineering discipline: agents that generate, test, inspect, repair, and validate software inside controlled feedback loops. I am interested in how AI changes the way engineers prototype products, build internal tools, write tests, debug systems, and compress the path from vague idea to working implementation.

I like building at the intersection of distributed systems, product intuition, and AI-native developer workflows. Outside work, I prototype AI-assisted products and spend time in the mountains - snowboarding, hiking, and training for mountaineering objectives.
